Justin bieber media
The reason media obsessed about justin bieber is because he is so incredibly not skilled that the media just couldn't leave him alone and now his populartity is droping because he is a teenager and no one likes him
the royal wedding obssesion
The reason the media went bananas about Prince Charles and Princess Diana's wedding is because he was royal. Everything royal is worth talking about so, that is why.

Celeberties
Like Sammy said, the media likes to focous on celeberties that are in really bad positions. Either adicited to something or other or in an unsuccessful realtionship or else going through something bad. I don't know if that is because that's what sells best or to make us feel better about our problems or both. Some celeberties that the media has gone crazzy about are Liandsay Lohan and Michel Jackson.

well, Americans have gone through many recessions, depressions but most off all obsessions. an early obsession is Anna Nichole Smith. she was considered a "sex symbol" in America. she was pretty much a porn star who was called a model. a more recent case was Lindsay Lohan who has been in jail, rehab, and pretty much every court in America. Recently she was caught on tape stealing a necklace. Does she not understand? during the Lohan fiasco Britney Spears had a break-down and shaved her head. She just came out with a new hit "hold it against me." Maybe no one remembers her breakdown. Now, the newest craze, Charlie Sheen has entered the headlines with his drug addiction. Maybe we are reading into celebrities too much and are just too interested in other peoples lives. If it wasn't a celebrity it would be called nosy but since it is we call it "buzz." Their lives are just like ours except they are being magnified by the press. Anyway, I just wanted to say that Charlie Sheen will be out of the news soon and in will come a new celebrity and we will forget all about Charlie'a "tiger blood."

Watch this. I decided to focus on all celebrities. The press likes people who are eaither on drugs, or in cheating on somebody ect. The press kind of seem to tare them down, rather then try to help them. Anything they do is a big deal, like in they said in the video, britney parked wrong and even thats a big deal. Its funny to watch for some people.²

Charlie Sheen
this guy is going to die and we are just watching him suffer. His first stop in his 'tour' (which he will just say crazy things in) sold out in 18 minutes. Lucy's right about the car crash thing. Sirius XM radio is making a channel about him. I think that this is crazy but when you really think about it people will watch it. He makes me wonder what everyone would do if there were no crazy irrational wild cracked guy that we could monitor? i just don't understand why the media is so frenzied about one guy.

Ok this guy really needs to get help...he is out of his mind!!!!!!!!! This is only a short clip of an interview but there are way more that I have seen where he says stuff like "The only drug I'm on is Charlie Sheen" and he makes comments about warlocks and being a rockstar from mars and that he is not bipolar he's "biwinning." He is just definently not ok and he needs help!

"I am not from this terrestrial realm," and "I have tiger blood," are just some of the ridiculous things Charlie Sheen said in this interview. I think that the press is obsessing over him because it like driving by a car crash, you cant help but look. The press know people will be interested in it, and he is saying some really crazy things. He used to be really funny in his hit TV show two and a half men, where he was making 1.8 million dollars an episode, he was the highest paid actor on TV. Now he has been kicked off of the show for drug use and the show has stopped running. He also said, "The last time I took drugs I probably took more then anybody could survive." I think he is bragging about his use of drugs, which is ridiculous in my opinion. This is why i think the press is interested in this subject so much.
